Hi and welcome!!

This is my website for the Curly Coated Retriever breed and my own two Curlies:

DKCH(+J) INTCH Capercaillie's Light Up My Way "Congo"
Stagfield Gamekeeper's Austen "Nora"

My base is at Djursland, the nose of Jutland, where I live out my main interest: field-work with my dog, and in my case of course especially with my Curlies! The primary task for the Retriever is after the shoot, that is when the wild game has been shot and need to be retrieved quickly and efficient at huntings. Via the Danish Retriever Club vi also have the possibility to test our dogs at simulated field-tests.

It is a delight to see, experience and especially to lead a Retriever, who is highly trained and eager to work. The basic work starts at the moment you get your new pup, hereafter we go crazy with tests, hunts, shows and other stuff untill the dog reaches the age, where it proudly gets the popular title "still going strong".

Congo have so been my faithful companion for many years, and is now retired from his life as Retriever in function. He enjoys spending his time at home, on walks and with the horse. Nora is supposed to take over his place by my side at tests and hunts etc. The next steps will be very exciting to experience and follow! Also on this site you will find lots and lots of material - both text, photos and videos - on both dogs, it is only a question of where to start.

Otherwise you will also be able to get yeourself a lot of knowledge on the Curly as a breed on this site. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact me! My doors are open for any visitor, who whishes to get to meet a Curly and see it working.

Enjoy your reading!
